Etching , litho,
and block printing inks dry by oxidation. As a result, they need a
barrier from oxygen to remain fresh and skin free.
Use flat putty knife to remove ink from can by scraping off the top
surface. Do not gouge.
Spray a thin layer of anti-skin, Pam or vegetable
oil on the ink before putting it away for storage. It does
not change the working nature of the ink because such a small amount
is used.

Change the skin paper on the ink after each
use. It's important to remove the air pockets under the paper
before sealing.

Vegetable oil (canola) and a rag.
Degrease with magnesium carbonate.
Put up all paper, plates, inks on personal or
appropriate studio shelf and drawers.
